My name is Anna Mozgova. Readers also know me under my pen name, Natalia Smerechynska.
I was born in Ukraine.
Since childhood, I've been drawn to books, history, and human stories — largely thanks to my grandfather, who worked as a journalist and literary editor for the local newspaper. These interests eventually became the foundation of my writing. After graduating from Radomyshl Gymnasium, I received a theological education at Irpin Bible Seminary, specializing in Christian Education Organization. I later continued my studies at the Faculty of History at Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, specializing in Secondary Education (History).
Beyond writing, I've spent many years involved in community initiatives. Projects focused on preserving history and culture, and on the development of my hometown, have always been close to my heart. I've taken part in founding and running community organizations, and I'm the author of the "Radomyshl — City-Museum" project, dedicated to preserving the cultural and historical heritage of Radomyshl.
I've been married for 21 years, and my husband Roman and I have three children. Family is my greatest support and a source of inspiration for many of the stories I tell in my books.
In my books, I aim to create stories where what matters isn't just adventure and romance, but a person's inner choices, strength of character, faith, hope, and the capacity to change one's life. For me, literature isn't just an engaging plot — it's a chance to talk with the reader about what truly matters.
Thank you for reading my books and sharing my love of literature with me. I hope that among my works you'll find stories that inspire, make you think, and stay with you for a long time.
